This post is for the lucky ones heading out on Yacht Week this year! Spending your days in the sun, taking in the stunning scenery of Croatia's islands while also enjoying long nights of partying! From day trips to anchoring in secluded bays and socialising with other crews in popular ports, it promises an unforgettable experience.
Wondering what should you bring with you on your yacht week adventure? Don't worry - we've got you covered!
We've compiled a detailed packing list of items you'll need to make sure that your trip is stress-free. From swimwear to sunglasses, no item has been left out so make sure you check it off before setting sail!
2. Sandals and trainers, exclusively.
One of the most important items you should bring is a pair of good quality, durable sandals. Standard beach-bought flip-flops may be cheaper and convenient, but they won't last long before they break and become yet another form of ocean pollution.
To have the perfect yacht week, make sure to invest in sandals that will last and give your feet the comfort and support they need!
3. Minimal Makeup.
Yacht Week is all about living in the sun and having fun, so packing light items that serve multiple purposes is key.
We recommend a tinted moisturiser with SPF protection to keep your skin happy and healthy while providing enough coverage to even out your complexion. Bring along a liquid blush since it doubles as both lip colour and eye shadow. A cream bronzer will help you achieve that enviable bronze glow without feeling too heavy.
And don't forget to pack a good water-proof mascara, you don't want to jump into the waves and come out with mascara smudges!
4. Shorts.
Throw on a pair of demin shorts over any swimsuit or bikini and you have a look that is timeless! The most convenient look for girls on the go, spending the day sunbathing and then heading into a beautiful town or city to explore and shop or even hitting some local bars.
5. Jacket or jumper.
Don't forget to pack something warm! A cozy jumper or jacket is essential. The days might be hot, but the evenings can get chilly quickly, so it's best to make sure you have something that'll keep you feeling snug when the rest of your suitcase is packed full of bikinis!
6. Tote Bag.
The 21st century's version of the iconic bottomless Mary Poppin bag - a tote bag!
Our fabulous tote bag is an every day must as well as a bag for life, not just for a holiday! Proudly show you're passion for sustainability with our slogan across the front of the bag with a stunning mermaid illustration to catch everyone's eyes. These tote bags are ethnically made, with organic cotton farmed without pesticides and only natural methods.
7. Sunscreen, aftersun and SPF lip balm.
Don't forget to pack your sunscreen, lip balm with SPF, and aftersun! These are essential to protect yourself from the harsh sun-rays, keep your lips hydrated, and soothe any sunburns.
8. Minimal jewellery.
When packing for Yacht Week, you don't have to go overboard with your accessories.A few pieces of jewellery is all you need: think some statement earrings and a classic necklace, so you’ll sparkle without worry that you might lose something overboard!
9. Comfortable Leggings.
If you are planning to embark on a Yacht Week sailing trip, make sure to pack a pair of our surf yoga leggings! They are lightweight, breathable and can be quickly dried if you decide to take a dip in the water. Plus, it's perfect for whatever activities that are on your itinerary - be it a yoga class or exploring the city.
10. Mini Med Kit.
Before heading off on your yacht week adventure, make sure your packing list includes: bandaids, paracetamol (painkillers) and anti-sickness tablets. Having these items handy can help you treat any ailments that may arise while on the water – whether it's a hangover or seasickness – and ensure you're able to make the most out of your fun yachting experience!
